What if a bunch of real estate types (agents, lenders, title) sat around in an open space, working, chatting and collaborating?
That is RETT. Some call it Real Estate Think Tank, some call it Real Estate Tech Tank.
Whatever you call it, it’s different, it’s happening, and it may just change the way people think about real estate…
In early 2010, Dean Ouellette approached me and a couple of other folks and said, “We need a Gangplank for real estate.”
Gangplank is a super slick coworking space located in Chandler, Arizona. Several anchor companies encourage folks from all walks of life to stop by their location, and get to work. It’s collaboration at its finest.
But would it work in real estate?
Not in the way the real estate business is typically thought of.
Our vision was to have a place where ANYONE in the real estate vertical could come in, and work and collaborate side-by-side. We’re talking agents and brokers — from different brokerages, title reps — from different title companies, lenders, appraisers, home inspectors — anyone and everyone connected to real estate. All working side by side. All helping each other.
Yes, competitors in one of the most cut-throat industries out there, helping each other grow, develop and be better.
And now, it’s starting to take shape.
Stop by RETT. It may just change the way you think about, and practice, your part in the real estate profession.
